What to visit in the area?

If you have read our previous blog or have already stayed at Finca Soñada, then you know
that you don’t have to leave the property to have a wonderful holiday. But, most people also
want to explore the area and naturally ask us for some tips. We are of course happy to help
our guests with this and can recommend many places that are really worthwhile.

If you like hiking, this is the place to be! In the immediate surroundings, there are multiple
beautiful valleys and 3 large natural parks where you can make several (nude) hikes of
varying lengths of time and difficulty: Sierra de Benicadell, Sierra Mariola and Font Roja. We
have several walks starting from our entrance gate. You can find them in our own app as
well as in Wikiloc, the well-known outdoor navigation app.

On our Wikiloc page you will also find various running and cycling tours. As for running,
trailing is very popular here. Every village organizes one or more races every year in which
you can participate. If that doesn’t appeal to you, you can go out on your own or join us and
other guests for a morning run.

Of course, you can also cycle to your heart’s content here. The many professional cycling
teams that come to train in our region for several weeks every year know why! Not only the
sun attracts them, but also the very good roads delight many a cyclist. Fans of mountain
biking and gravel biking are also well catered for.

If you want to soak up some history, one place to visit is Xativa, the birthplace of two popes,
both members of the Valencian noble Borgia family. Besides the basilica, the imposing castle
there is also an absolute must-see. A little further down the toll-free A7 motorway you arrive
in surprisingly diverse Valencia, recently voted the most liveable city in Europe. That’s a
rather bold statement but, whatever the case, Valencia has untold assets, such as: the 12-
kilometre-long Túria park, the modern Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencas, the Oceanogràfic
with more than 40,000 marine and coastal animals, the old town, the countless tapas bars,
etc. At an hour drive from Finca Soñada, a day trip to this bustling city is definitely one of
the possibilities.

A little closer, Alicante (45 minutes) and Alcoi (25 minutes) are also well worth a visit. Each
of these towns organize major fiestas every year, such as the Moros y Cristianos, the Fallas
and the Hogueras. By the way, every village in the area regularly hosts a ‘fiesta’ in which
outsiders are allowed to participate without any problem.

Lovers of the beach don’t have to go far to be delighted. Within an hour you can be standing
with your toes in the sand of the beautiful and quiet naturist beach of Gandía, the nearest
seaside town. In colourful Villajoyosa, you can unwind in the naturist bay of Racó del Conill.
A little closer to home, there are lots of beautiful water features, such as the Pou Clar
waterfalls, the Barranc de l’Encantada in Planes and the Beniarrés reservoir.

That reservoir is a stone’s throw from Alcosser de Planes, where you can do a guided wine
walk with accompanying tasting in cooperation with a local wine grower.

In the immediate vicinity, there are several charming villages that will catapult you back to a lost past. For example, you can still see clear elements of Moorish architecture in the village centre of
Bocairent and you can visit centuries-old residential caves. The art in Carrícola, the sundials
of Otos and the hippy culture in Turballos are also well worth a visit.

Still got time to spare? Why not take the controls of a ULM plane yourself? Or go shopping in
Dénia? Or a romantic dinner in a seafood restaurant on Jávea’s beautiful promenade.
Gourmets don’t even have to go that far. In Cocentaina, you can enjoy the very best of
Spanish gastronomy at the two-star restaurant L’Escaleta. Be sure to book in time, because
Kiko’s place is very popular!

And the same actually applies to … Finca Soñada. Now that we consistently get the highest
scores on platforms such as Google, Booking and Blootkompas, more and more naturists
want to get to know our little paradise. Are you curious too?                                                                                        Then click here: https://fincasonada.com/?lang=en.

When you book with us, we will send you our own app that contains all the information you needto make your stay an unforgettable holiday. We look forward to seeing you!

Un abrazo,
