Visit Alicante

Accessible from our guesthouse in less than an hour

Alicante is often seen as the ideal flight destination to enjoy a Costa Blanca holiday, but she has a lot to offer.

If you stay in our guesthouse, a visit to the city is definitely recommended.

Be surprised....

History, beach and tapas

The second city of the Costa Blanca has about 330,000 inhabitants and is therefore smaller than Valencia. It has a beautiful old city center consisting of 2 different neighborhoods: "Casco Antiguo" and "El Barrio", the last of which is located against Mount Benacantil.

On this mountain of over 160 meters, you can visit the Santa Bárbara castle, from where you have a beautiful view of the city. Since the city itself is right on the sea, the beach is nice and close. With more than 900 meters of sandy beach it is great to relax. Next to the beach is a beautiful, wide boulevard with cozy terraces and stalls.

At the end of the afternoon, enjoy some tapas in one of the many bars.

Castle of Santa Bárbara

Feel like a knight ....

The castle can be reached on foot, by car or by bus. But you can also take the lift that cuts through the mountain! This lift is located on Calle de Jovellanos (near Postiguet Beach) and costs a few euros. The entrance to the castle itself is for free.
Reward yourself afterwards with a cervesa and some tapas in one of the numerous restaurants at the foot of the mountain or on the marina.

ANOTHER TIP!

One for the road

From our guesthouse you are within 10 minutes on the highway to Alicante. Alicante is written in the local language - Valencian - as Alacant. Pay attention to this when following traffic signs.
