Who?
This retreat is for anyone interested in rhythm, regardless of age or level, and aims to
aim to get all participants excited about rhythm and percussion. We make no distinction
between professionals and beginners, young and old, male and female. We are one big family with
the same passion and interest.
What to do?
The Percussion Camp offers a unique week of inspiring workshops (4-5 hours per day), led by a top teacher, in breathtaking surroundings. Whether you are beginner or advanced, you will learn new skills and refine existing techniques. Besides music, relaxation and connection are key. Enjoy exclusive accommodation with mountain views, dive into nature and finish with free time at the large swimming pool. Escape the daily grind and experience a rhythmic adventure full of inspiration, motivation and pure fun!
By whom?
José J. Cortijo, born in Barcelona, Spain, is a renowned musician and teacher with
decades of experience. Active in Germany since 1983, he has been the only professor of Latin
Percussion teaching at the prestigious Mannheim University of Music and Performing Arts until
to his retirement. José is a sought-after teacher and gives workshops all over Europe. His
passion for rhythm and his expertise in Latin percussion make him an inspiring
